Parquet is not a material.
It is a pattern.
The same oak becomes five completely different floors depending on how it is set out. Choose a pattern to see it drawn at scale — this is exactly how we plan the setting-out before a single board is cut.
Where parquet belongs
Majlis — herringbone or basketweave in engineered oak. Formal without being cold, and it photographs beautifully.
Entrance halls — a Versailles panel or chevron. This is the floor guests see first, so it is worth the spend.
Long hallways — chevron running along the length, because the continuous V pulls the eye down the space.
Kitchens & holiday homes — parquet-effect SPC in herringbone. All of the look, none of the moisture risk.
Whole-villa schemes — one pattern in the formal rooms and plank elsewhere, so the parquet stays a feature. See villa renovation.
As a rule: choose the pattern for the room it goes in, and the material for the humidity it will live in. Engineered timber suits almost every RAK villa; solid wood needs a carefully controlled interior.
